Months after the sixth season of the Real Housewives of Orange County finished airing on Bravo, Alexis Bellino is speaking out on the difficulties of doing the hit show.In a new interview with the Miami Herald, Alexis, who experienced some financial difficulties on the show and is well aware of the “Jesus Barbie’’ nickname given to her by fans because of her strong faith, reveals that being on the show can be very stressful.“It’s definitely stressful being on [ Housewives],’’ admits Alexis, 34. “You go through your life in front of the entire nation. If you have one bad episode, everyone’s mad at you.’’Alexis acknowledges she receives a lot of that criticism from the web. “There is a lot of bad blogging out there,’’ she says, adding: “Every person who comes up to me in public is very positive and super kind.” Alexis adds that she has learned to stay away from the negativity. “My rule is: I stay off the Internet, I don’t Google myself. I don’t read what other people have to say about me.’’She however adds that being on the show has made her tougher. “I used to be sick to my stomach all night long, just devastated,’’ she says. “But now I have a tougher skin. It takes a lot to upset me now. My family is happy, and that’s all that matters.’’Alexis also reveals she continues to focus on her Alexis Couture clothing line. In the meantime, she is uncertain about a return to the RHOC for a 7th season as Bravo has yet to make any official announcements. Filming on the new season will however start soon as it typically starts towards the end of summer so we will find out any day now who will be returning and who will not. My guess is Alexis will likely get the axe unless her husband Jim Bellino changes his mind about filming.
